Throughout 2014, Contemporary Istanbul has planned to host approximately 12 international events from New York to Dubai to Shanghai and so on. Contemporary Istanbul continues to expand all around the globe via special occasions in parallel with the most attended worldwide art fairs and art centers such as Armory Show, Art Dubai or then again MOCA Shanghai!

While preparing to welcome once again an impressive number of prestigious galleries between November 13-16 2014, Contemporary Istanbul gathered a niche of collectors, art professionals, artists, art enthusiasts and press members via a special event in New York City.

Contemporary Istanbul hosted an event during the Armory Show’s 20th edition to which 20 countries and 200 galleries participate with an amount of 100,000 guests. The event took place on March 6th from 19.00 to 21.00. The cocktail reception was held in the Chelsea area of New York City at the space Gallery of C24 which also participates to Contemporary Istanbul editions as an exhibitor. The solo exhibition of İrfan Önürmen was on show with his creations of delicate reliefs using cut layers of tulle. As Contemporary Istanbul’s official carrier, Turkish Airlines contributed and supported in the happening of this event.

DUBAI – March 19th 2014 at the Al Qasr Hotel – Contemporary Istanbul and Akbank Private Banking will stage an event during Art Dubai.

SHANGHAI – March 29th 2014 at the MoCA Shanghai Museum - Contemporary Istanbul will be hosting a press gathering and a cocktail reception.
