Tesir değişim yaratma potansiyeli taşıyan bir etkileşim biçimidir. Her etkileşim, insan

“Her fikir doğası gereği sadece mevcut gerçekliğin

SIDE EFFECT
ef·fect
:
a change that results when something is done or happens : an event, condition,
or state of affairs that is produced by a cause
:
a particular feeling or mood created by something
:
an image or a sound that is created in television, radio, or movies to imitate
something real
side effect
: an often harmful and unwanted effect of a drug or chemical that occurs
along with the desired effect
: a result of an action that is not expected or intended
Effect is a type
of interaction with a potential of change. All interaction takes place through
intentions shaped by desires and ideas that stem from human subjectivity. Deep moral, aesthetic, economic, political,
and social structures frame our intentions. Yet, structures are mental
constructs that only make our intentions meaningful to us. It is because of the
deep structural differences, contextuality of experiences, imagination and states of
cognition that make each of us uniquely as we are; there is no uniform
experience of the effects. Sometimes, it is not the effect but the side-effects
that we experience. Everything that is intended, unintended, expected,
unexpected, calculated, uncalculated, direct or indirect interact as effects
and side-effects. Thus, the world-we-live-in is transformed into a multi-purposeful,
multi-meaningful and multi-potential realm. Only in such a realm what is aesthetical
has politico-moral and what is political has aesthetic-moral side-effects.
When John Dewey said "every idea by its nature
indicative of a possibility not of present actuality," he was also implying
that different forms of cognition and imagination, which direct human
experience as the side-effect of the Other-as-society, extend our actions and
purposes from actuality to other potentialities and attach new meanings to
them. Fantasies, metaphors, images and the archaic forms of all the-known that
are revealed in the works of the artists in this exhibition are the
side|effects of the deep structures of the world-we-sustain.
